Spring 1997 Harvard Extension School Registration

Spring-term registration begins Monday, December 9. Registration forms and lists of spring-term catalogue changes are being sent this month to all fall-term registrants. Students who do not receive this mailing by December 2 should call the Extension School Registrar's Office (617/495-9522) to request that another packet be sent. Spring-term classes begin Monday, January 27; registration ends Friday, January 31; late registration with a late fee runs from Monday, February 3 through Friday, February 7.

1997 Harvard Summer School

Extension School students are invited to continue their studies this summer at the Harvard Summer School. Several hundred day and evening courses will be offered, many of which can be applied toward Extension School degrees and certificates. The 1997 Summer School session runs from June 23 through August 15. Registration ends on Wednesday, June 4. To request a Summer School catalogue, call (617) 495-0519; e-mail summer@hudce.harvard.edu; or visit the Harvard Summer School web site. Catalogues will be available in March 1997.

Announcing. . . DCETel

Beginning December 9, students may call DCETel, the Division of Continuing Education Telephone Information System, at (617) 496-1111 to hear their spring-term course schedules and their spring and summer '96 grades. Beginning Saturday, February 1, credit students also may call DCETel to hear their fall '96 grades. All fall-term registrants will receive their personal identification number (PIN) and instructions for using DCETel in spring registration packets that are being mailed this month.

Nominations for Extension Prizes

Extension School students and alumni are invited to send nominations for the Bonanno, Conway, Shattuck, and Fussa Teaching Awards to Dean Michael Shinagel, 51 Brattle Street, Cambridge, MA 02138-3722 before May 1, 1997.
